Journey to Pro Golf

My story, unlike most professional players, does not begin and end with playing golf. I did begin playing golf at 2 years old, but by the age of 27, my successes have included many different experiences ranging from working at the Walt Disney World Resort in fine dining to founding & selling a professional golf mini tour where I arranged & hosted over 100 events in the course of four years.

In college, I played for two years at East Tennessee State University. Longing for other experiences, I transferred to Georgia Southern University where I worked at our recreation facility taking students rock climbing and rafting - never thought I'd say how much fun learning about knots could be. After that, I went to the Disney College Program, and worked in fine dining inside the Animal Kingdom at the Tusker House. The backend of the restaurant and the ability to put through over 3,000 guests a day with quality food & service, was simply incredible. Most memorable person I met was easily a Royal Guard from England. This also happens to be the place I worked with & met my amazing wife.

Upon returning, I was ready to play golf. With a year gap, college golf was ruled out, so I turned professional. While I was ready to go, this also became the year in which everything shut down. Without knowing if Q-School would return, I decided that nothing could stop me from opening a business. With knowledge of golf tournaments and $5,000 to my name, I opened the Rolling Red Golf Tour - a professional tour that served as the stomping grounds for upcoming professional players. I had no idea the amount of skills I would learn in running the business, but those skills completely changed my mindset on life as a whole. With an entirely new appreciation for playing golf, the idea of not wearing six hats, I was ready to finally chase the major tours. The business was sold, and I started practice in July of 2024, ramped up my workouts, played in Q-School, & won the Georgia Open Qualifier.

This brings us to today. My targets are Monday Qualifiers, PGA Americas Q-School, the U.S. Open, and Korn Ferry Q-School. Excited to bring you along in my journey!
